POSITION VACANT -
Factory and Farm Workforce Coordinator
Harvest Moon – Forth, Tasmania
Like working with good people?
Like fast days where you actually see the result of your work?
Like knowing that if you get it right, the whole factory & farm runs smoother?
We’re growing. And when crops grow, so does the need for the right people in the right place at the right time. That’s where you come in.
Harvest Moon is one of the biggest privately owned fresh produce companies in Australia. We grow and pack vegetables across Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, supplying families right around the country. We take pride in what we grow and how we do it.
Our Forth site, on Tasmania’s Northwest Coast, is home to our head office, farm and main production facility.
About the Role
-
As our Factory & Farm Workforce Coordinator, you’ll be at the centre of our operations team, making sure we’ve got the right workforce lined up to match the pace of the paddock and the factory teams.
What you will do:
-
Develop and manage rosters for our casual factory and farm employees and PALM workers
-
Plan workforce allocations across the season and on the day which may include weekends
-
Respond to the changing conditions of harvesting, delivery times and production schedules
-
Deliver inductions for new employees and support training for their roles
-
Ensure employees understand timesheet reporting and be willing to assist them if needed
-
Assist with the management of our accommodation properties that we provide our casual employees
-
Back up our HR Operations Manager when needed
-
This is a role for someone who can think ahead, adjust quickly and stay calm when the plan changes. Because in fresh produce, it often does.
What we are looking for
-
You understand time-critical environments. Maybe you’ve worked in agriculture, logistics, manufacturing or another fast-paced industry where delays aren’t an option.
-
You have strong workforce planning and rostering experience
-
Sharp problem-solving skills and solid attention to detail
-
Strong administration skills and confidence with MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
-
The ability to communicate clearly with people from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds
-
Initiative and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a great team
-
Great organisation skills and the ability to prioritise when everything feels urgent even with that early morning phone call!
You’re practical. You’re steady. And you know that good planning makes everyone’s day easier.
How to Apply
Send us a one-page cover letter and your resume.
Tell us who you are, what you’ve done, and why this kind of role suits you and what you can bring to our business in this role.
We appreciate your interest in Harvest Moon and look forward to hearing from you.
