PEOPLE

Harvest Moon draws on a wide range of skills to perform every operation within the company. Employees include management, sales, marketing, agronomists, packers, forklift drivers and varied contract workers.

 

Harvest Moon employs around 120 people full time, however during peak periods (December-May) this can increase to 300 people.

 

In dealing with customers, suppliers and staff, Harvest Moon regards the following core values of their employees as inviolable:

 THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

The Harvest Moon management team creates an efficient working balance between people management and administration, agricultural, marketing and sales expertise, strategic planning and day-to-day operations. Within Management alone, there is over 100 years of experience in the horticultural industry. 

 

Managing Director - Neil Armstrong

Neil oversees the entire operation of Harvest Moon. Neil is also responsible for managing the broccoli programme.

 

Agricultural Director - Mark Kable

Mark is responsible for all the Field and Farming Programmes.

 

General Manager - Steve Evans

All administrative and corporate matters are handled by Steve. Steve is also responsible for managing onion production and sales across Australia and into our export markets.

 

Operations Manager - Kevin Clayton-Greene

Kevin is responsible for managing the carrot and potato lines as well as Technical areas and Research and Development.

 

THE SALES TEAM

The sales team is made up of people who want Harvest Moon to succeed through being responsive and the best at meeting customer expectations and who value loyalty to staff, customers and suppliers.

 

David Hooper

Mainland sales and overall freight logistics. Management of overall carrot sales including carrot exports.

 

Michael Ling 

Sales and marketing of all vegetables within Tasmania.

 

Phillip Wyatt

Local sales and marketing of all vegetables, focusing on the larger supermarket chains and Southern Tasmania.

 

Michael Smith

Focus on overall swede sales.

 

Kristy Shelley

Logistics - Mainland freight.  Co-ordinates freight from Harvest Moon into Mainland markets and supermarkets.

 

Lisa Breaden and Trent Evans

Marketing of Vegie Express peeled and processed vegetables that we supply to restaurants, hotels and hospitals through our wholesale chain.

FACTORY OPERATIONS

Harvest Moon’s factory personnel are responsible for the daily operations of our main factory site located in Forth and a seed potato processing and storage site in Spreyton.
