Harvest Moon is one of the largest swede suppliers in Tasmania, as with many temperate vegetables we are able to supply swedes all over Australia throughout the year.   Tasmania’s unique climate provides swedes that are full of flavor and without bitterness. 

The same attention to detail that marks Harvest Moon's approach to all its vegetable crops is also found in the way we handle and supply swedes.   Maintaining a cool chain throughout the handling process (washed, packing and distribution) ensures the swedes maintain their freshness long after harvest.

Description

·         Harvest Moon swedes are easily identified by their yellow-cream colour with bright purple tops, and cream, dense flesh.

·         Select firm, smooth swedes that feel heavy for their size.

·         A source of vitamin C, swedes are a great addition to your diet.

·         Swedes can be stored for up to one month in the crisper of your fridge.

·         Harvest Moon swedes are delicious any way you choose served along other hearty winter vegetables.

·         Swedes are very versatile they can be boiled, mashed, baked or even try swede chips! Also nice when mashed with other vegetables like potatoes or pumpkin.

Sizes are measured by swede diameter

·         Small:  40 – 60mm

·         Medium: 60-95mm

·         Large: +95mm
