Celery is a water loving plant and therefore ideal to growing on the fertile river flats surrounding Harvest Moons processing factory.  Harvest Moon grows celery for both Tasmanian customers and the Mainland markets.  

Celery is planted as seedlings and takes up to 4 months to grow from planting to harvest.  It is harvested by hand to ensure there is minimal bruising and breakage of the stems.

·         Celery adds a very distinctive flavour to soups and stews or can be stir-fried with other vegetables.

·         Choose celery that looks crisp without droopy leaves.

·         Store your celery in a plastic bag in the fridge to prevent dehydration.

·         A great way to eat a celery stick is lined with crunchy peanut butter!
